Album release: Szymon Nehring plays Chopin Solo (“White Series” Vol. 2)

Szymon Nehring, one of the most talented pianists of his generation, winner of the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Competition in Tel Aviv (2017) and a finalist in the International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw (2015), is recording the complete works of Fryderyk Chopin for the Fryderyk Chopin Institute. And so here is the second solo album in this series; it is also the artist’s third solo album, recorded for the Institute, which also released his recital on a historical piano (the ‘The Real Chopin’ series).

The NIFCCD 224 album, released as part of the ‘White Series’, features an intriguing programme in which the artist interweaves lesser-known miniatures by this brilliant composer with selected études and the Scherzo in E major, Op. 25, concluding with the Rondo à la Mazur, Op. 5. We highly recommend this album and eagerly await the next ones.
