Brief profile

Szymon Nehring has long been regarded as an exceptionally talented pianist. He is the only Pole to have won first prize at the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Competition in Tel Aviv (2017). In the 2025/26 season, Vol. II of his Chopin cycle for the Warsaw Chopin Institute will be released, as well as a recording of Karol Szymanowski’s Symphony No. 4 and Marzukas with the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra and Marin Alsop on Rubicon.

Nehring has performed with numerous orchestras, including Sinfonia Varsovia, the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic, the Israel Philharmonic, the Bamberg and Hamburg Symphony Orchestras, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Marseille and the Orchestre Pasdeloup in France, as well as the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century.

He also performed and recorded with the late Krzysztof Penderecki, among other works Penderecki’s piano concerto.

He has performed alongside Krzysztof Penderecki and has recorded, among other works, his piano concerto with the composer conducting.

He has released numerous albums, recording both solo programmes and piano concertos, including Chopin’s piano concertos with Krzysztof Penderecki conducting and an album dedicated to minimal music.
