Antje Weithaas & Dénes Várjon: Beethoven cycle at the Boulez Saal Berlin and live on Deutsche Grammophon STAGE+
‘You have to record the Beethoven sonatas once in your life,’ says violinist Antje Weithaas. Her complete recording, which she completed in April 2024 together with pianist Dénes Várjon, has been widely acclaimed as a new benchmark recording and was awarded the 2024 German Record Critics’ Award.
At the Pierre Boulez Saal from 9-11 October 2026, the duo will present the ten groundbreaking sonatas for piano and violin as a cycle on three consecutive evenings.
