Eliots am Main

Chamber Music Festival

Chamber Music Festival

From 3 to 15 November 2025, the Eliot Quartet, founded in Frankfurt am Main in 2014, invites you to the second edition of its chamber music festival ‘Eliots am Main’. Under the motto ‘Words Move, Music Moves’ the award-winning ensemble combines music and literature: works by Beethoven, Janáček, Haydn and Adès meet texts by Tolstoy, Rilke and Celan, opening up new spaces for listening and thinking.

The festival will take place at selected venues, including the Holzhausenschlösschen of the Frankfurt Civic Foundation and the Frankfurt Historical Museum.

In addition to the four permanent members – Maryana Osipova (first violin), Alexander Sachs (second violin), Dmitry Hahalin (viola) and Michael Preuss (cello) – other musicians and speakers enrich the programmes. With its literary focus and stylistically diverse programmes, ‘Eliots am Main’ is a special experience for music and literature lovers alike.

A festival preview will take place on 23 October 2025 in Berlin: ‘Eliots am Main’ – Preview at the Panke
