Finalists announced of the Concours de Genève composition competition 2026

The three finalists of the 2026 Concours de Genève composition competition have been announced:

Sing-Yat Chen (Hong Kong, 24)
Hanurij Lee (South Korea, 20)
Rafael Marino Arcaro (Brazil, 35)

Selected from a record-breaking 188 applicants representing 46 countries, these composers will present their works during the final round in Geneva on 11 November.

Their pieces will be performed by the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and conducted by the finalists of the 2026 Conducting Competition – a unique collaboration placing contemporary creation at the very heart of the Competition.

A distinguished jury, including Unsuk Chin (South Korea), Augusta Read Thomas (USA), Katharina Rosenberger (Switzerland), Magnus Lindberg (Finland), and Toshio Hosokawa (Japan), was responsible for evaluating the final works.
