Annika Treutler & Aris Quartet – Early Sibelius Universe: The Piano Quintet Rediscovered

Pianist Annika Treutler and the Aris Quartet present a new recording of Jean Sibelius‘ early Piano Quintet in G minor (1890). Carefully selected miniatures for solo piano build an acoustic bridge to this rarely performed chamber music work, which offers a special insight into the hitherto lesser-known depths of Sibelius’ characteristic sound world.

Recorded at the legendary Teldex Studio Berlin, the album will be released on the decurio label (release date 27 March 2026) and opens up the musical universe of the Finnish composer’s early works that have largely gone unnoticed.
